What is Precision CNC Machining?

CNC precision machining is a type of mechanical processing that involves machining a workpiece to meet the tolerances required by the drawing. During this process, the performance characteristics and shape structure of the workpiece will undergo certain changes.

Mechanical parts design, as a discipline in mechanical engineering, is one of the most popular majors for engineering students and also one of the most powerful engineering majors. At present, this major not only requires good engineering knowledge, but also excellent drawing and spatial imagination abilities. In addition, due to the development of domestic industry and the continuous changes in demand, the demand for talents in the mechanical processing industry is also increasing, and the employment rate of mechanical majors can reach 95%.

With the development and progress of domestic industry, mechanical processing has undergone significant changes, and precision machining technology has emerged. Many industries, such as household appliances, automobiles, hardware, and medical manufacturing, use more or less precision parts. It may just be a component, or it could be the core component of a mechanical device. In short, it is very important and plays an irreplaceable role.

These precision parts have two processes for precision machining manufacturing, one is hot processing and the other is cold processing. Hot processing involves subjecting the parts to biochemical or physical changes under very warm conditions through heat treatment to meet the requirements of shape changes. Cold processing, on the other hand, does not produce chemical or physical changes at room temperature to meet the requirements of shape change, and generally uses cutting technology. In the future, precision machining will be combined with science and technology to become an important sustainable science, while meeting the requirements of processing and environmental protection.

Do you really know what non-standard parts are precision machined?

I believe that non-standard parts are the most in demand in the mechanical manufacturing industry. The specifications and parameters of most parts in automation equipment or fixtures used in processing and inspection are freely controlled by the enterprise. Therefore, these enterprises will submit the drawings of the required parts to the corresponding precision machining manufacturers for processing to meet the shape and positional tolerances required by the drawings.

From the above content, we can draw a vague concept that non-standard parts are parts that have no standardized structure, size, marking, and drawings compared to standard parts. Non standard parts have strict standards and regulations, and there are no relevant parameters. Enterprises control the demand for accessories according to their own production, so the manufacturing cost is higher than that of standard parts.
