How To Solve The Problem of Scrap During The Processing of Metal Stamping Parts

1.Punch processing technicians can install ejector pins and springs on punch presses that are prone to jumping waste, and use ejector pins to place waste into the lower mold during mold separation. This type of jigs waste is usually generated during the cutting process, and the molds produced are usually relatively simple.

2.Moreover, when designing the clearance between the lower die and the punch, it is necessary to prevent the jumping of waste materials. There should be one or two pairs of symmetrical points that are less than about half of the clearance between the punch and the lower die. Therefore, during the punching process, when cutting waste materials, they may get stuck on the lower die due to the small clearance between the punch and the punch. This method can be completed using wire cutting. This method is suitable for punching parts with large and thick raw materials. But when it is a thin sheet material, the above methods to avoid jumping waste are not very applicable, because the punching gap of ultra-thin materials is very small, and another method should be chosen to avoid it.

When stamping precision hardware parts, stamping technicians can add an auxiliary plate under the lower mold base, make all possible or even all stamping parts' discharge holes on the auxiliary plate, create a large discharge rack, weld a funnel like material tube, and then use industrial suction connection method on the material tube.

This is similar to but different from the blowing principle of a punch press. The detailed method is to create an air duct on the lower die pad, and then drill a 45 degree inclined hole through the feeding hole where blowing is needed. However, the air duct and feeding hole cannot enter (remember this), and a vacuum space is formed during blowing to suck up waste materials.
