What is The Injection Molding Temperature For PET Plastic Materials?

In the field of plastic injection molding, the application of PET plastic raw materials is becoming increasingly widespread. Understanding the appropriate temperature for injection molding is crucial for obtaining high-quality injection molded products.

The temperature for injection molding PET plastic raw materials is usually between 260 ℃ and 290 ℃. However, it should be noted that this is only a rough range, and the actual optimal injection molding temperature will be affected by various factors. Firstly, the type and performance of the injection molding machine will have an impact on the injection molding temperature of PET plastic raw materials. The heating system and temperature control accuracy of injection molding machines of different brands and models may vary.

Secondly, the structure and size of the mold are also important factors determining the injection molding temperature. Complex mold structures or larger molds may require higher injection molding temperatures to ensure sufficient flow and filling of plastic.

Furthermore, the shape and thickness of the product also affect the selection of injection molding temperature. Thin walled products may require higher temperatures to ensure that the plastic can quickly fill the mold; Thick walled products require lower temperatures to avoid defects caused by overheating. For example, when producing thin-walled PET plastic bottles, the injection molding temperature may need to be close to 290 ℃ to ensure that the plastic can quickly fill the small parts of the mold. For thicker walled PET plastic parts, the injection molding temperature may be around 270 ℃ to meet the requirements.

In addition, the dryness of the raw materials cannot be ignored. If the PET plastic raw material is not sufficiently dried and contains moisture, it is necessary to increase the injection molding temperature appropriately to remove the moisture and prevent defects such as bubbles.

In short, determining the accurate temperature for PET plastic raw material injection molding requires comprehensive consideration of multiple factors such as injection molding machines, molds, product structure, and raw material drying conditions. Only at the appropriate injection molding temperature can PET plastic products with exquisite appearance and excellent performance be produced.
